10 Spaces that give us MAD office envy.

By now it's no secret that Venaspace is expanding. We've just opened our latest building in Exeter, named The Mount and as I type the top floor extension to Wilson House is nearing completion. Naturally, then we're currently deep in interior design ideas. Creating new office space demands a large amount of creativity and as the saying goes,  nothing happens in the void! So to help get our juices flowing here are 10 office spaces that give us mad office envy! Let us know if there are any others we may have missed in the comment section!

10. Urban Outfitters, Philadelphia

In at number 10 is the Urban Outfitters HQ in Philadelphia. It isn't exactly the most elaborate space in this list but its aesthetically pleasing nonetheless. In 2004 the clothing company purchased four buildings and leased another in Philadelphia's abandoned Navy Yards and converted each into the industrial-inspired look above. We love an office with bags of air and natural light!

9. Red Bull, London

Our number 9 spot is taken by the Red Bull offices in London. Constructed in 2010 by Jump Studies this 20,000 sqft office space boasts smooth metallic lines and contemporary finishes. The colors are primary and bold and Jump Studios emphasis on lighting takes this space to the next level.

8. Google, Zurich

Google's offices in Zurich are up next. Developed by Evolution Design and boasting an amazing 129,000 sqft this office features rooms with different themes. Often when this is done the quality can dip but Evolution has managed to keep standards extremely consistent. Relying on color and over-exaggeration within its design. It would be hard not to find a space to feel inspired!

7. Mashable, New York City

What we loved about Mashable's 60,000 sqft office space is its emphasis on clean sleek lines and the theme in its coloring. Focusing on blues and clean whites with soft lighting to create a soft tranquil atmosphere. STUDIOS architecture pulled it out of the bag with this one.

6. Nordsjø Kontorpark Offices, Haugesund

Nope, this is not a luxury penthouse suite! You're looking at the Magu designed offices of Nordsjø Kontorpark in Haugesund. This homely feel is no mistake, its designers were keen to create an environment of community and sharing, stripping away the formality and potential discomfort of office working. We'd say they achieved their goal but we'd be taxed not to steal a short nap on those sofas!

5. Wieden+Kennedy, New York

In at number 5 is the New York offices of Weiden+Kennedy. Designed by WORKac the star of the show is this insane center staircase..... words just cannot. Throughout the officethere is an emphasis on circulator, smooth and seamless design that bleeds into every wall and gap.

4. Pallota TeamWorks, Los Angeles

Though now a defunct company the offices at PallotaTeamWorks gives us butterflies. These shipping containers give the space a real makeshift, relaxed and open feeling and take the emphasis on interior verticality to the next level. Architects Clive Wilkinson separated each department within the office into different villages and used raw wood and other reused componentents throughout

3. Selgas Cano, Madrid

Scooting into our top 3 are the stunning offices of architects Selgas Cano in Madrid. This incredible space is sunken into the forest floor and boasts glass walls that bring the outside in and then some. It must be a real struggle not to feel completely at ease with the fauna surrounding you. At our Wilson House property we'vealso used large windows to make the most of the trees outside. It definitely lifts your mood and watching squirrels wrestling doesn't hurt either!

2. BAHNHOF, White Mountain

Narrowly missing out on the number 1 spot is this insanely elaborate space designed by AF-LA. Situated in Sweden the offices were built into a former Anti-atomic shelter and look exactly like a scene from a James Bond film. The companies that ownsthis space are internet providers and this cavernous interior hoststheir server halls and offices. The architects began by considering the surrounding rock as a living organism and took the design from there.

1. Amazon, Seatle

Wow, number 1 was a sure fire for us. This amazing dome is home to Amazon. It holds a completely replicated rainforest designed to spark the creativity of its inhabitants. Featuring 40,000 plants from all around the world which includes a 55-foot tall tree nicknamed Rubi! The space boasts winding walkways, secret spaces and even a birds nest. Words cannot describe the office envy we're getting from this one!
