We Value a Thriving Business Community at Venaspace Exeter

Hello, I am Holly, Community Manager for Venaspace Exeter. I wanted to share why I love being a part of the business community at our Exeter Business Centre, The Mount.

With a thriving business community in our offices at Venaspace Exeter, we believe in the importance of holding regular networking events to bring the Exeter business community together. We value these events to build, maintain, and grow beneficial business connections. As a result, we began holding monthly networking events down The Rabbit Hole in April 2022, which has since grown into something better than we would have ever imagined.

Venaspace Exeter is lucky to have such a dynamic venue at our fingertips. The Rabbit Hole is our Alice in Wonderland-themed community hub. The space is complete with a bar, beer tap, and pool table; a unique experience and can work for various events, such as morning meet-ups and evening parties. I have enjoyed building these events, meeting new and old faces every month, and watching this networking group grow over the last few months.

Since April, we have hosted three down The Rabbit Hole monthly networking events, which has led to other networking ventures and connections. At the May meet-up, we discussed Honey Asset Finance hosting their first Hive @ Five networking for young professionals on our brand-new rooftop terrace at Venaspace Bournemouth, Wilson House, on July 14th.

The Rabbit Hole proved such a success that we launched a second quarterly networking series in collaboration with Your Partnerships Ltd on June 15th. You can sign up for the next business breakfast meeting on September 14th here.

Most recently, we expanded our venture and hosted our first business party sponsored by Salcombe Gin on August 4th! We had over 40 guests from the Exeter and Devon business community join us down The Rabbit Hole for a truly memorable night. The evening kicked off at 6:30 pm with an arrival drink of Gin & Tonic from Salcombe Gin and delicious canapes from ASTRIDGES Catering. Later, Salcombe Gin hosted a tasting with three of their gins, and, I must say, this was a big hit amongst us all. Salcombe Gin also offer discounts to all Venaspace members; check it out here.

Thank you to all our guests for a night of conversation, pool, and laughs. Most importantly, thank you for purchasing a ticket. We will be donating all ticket sales to Julia’s House in Dorset. Julia’s House is a fantastic charity that provides imperative support to children with life-limiting illnesses. The party has raised 530 pounds for the Team 13 challenge for Julia’s House. Team 13 is a group of 13 business professionals who have pledged to run 13 miles and collectively raised 1300 pounds for Julia’s House. You can read more about Team 13 here.

At Venaspace, we value regular onsite networking events at our business centres to maintain and grow a thriving business community. We recognize the importance of collaboration across industries and companies. For this reason, networking is often at the forefront of our office design to find a perfect blend between private offices and communal breakout spaces.

At Venaspace Exeter, The Rabbit Hole is the perfect example of creating a communal business experience. As our community hub, it provides a daily opportunity to get out of the office and meet with colleagues and other Venaspace members in a unique atmosphere. It is great to see our members regularly utilizing the space during their lunch break, playing a game of pool, having a team meeting, and pouring themselves a refreshing pint of Otter Brewery Tarka4 beer from our self-serve tap.
