Why Location is Essential for a Thriving Business

08 June 2023

In the fast-paced and ever-evolving business world, choosing a home base for your team hinges on a delicate balance between various factors. With the rise of remote working, location has become one of the most important elements to consider when choosing an office space. Whether a startup, a growing company, or an established organisation seeking to expand, the choice of location for your business centre or serviced office space plays a pivotal role in the trajectory of your business.

While the digital age has revolutionised how we conduct business, physical spaces remain an integral part of our professional landscape. A prime location is important on a business level as it can provide you with advantages that can affect your bottom line and company growth. Some important areas to consider are target market, networking and collaboration opportunities, brand image and reputation, industry cluster and resources.

On the other hand, choosing a central location is imperative for creating a successful work environment for your team. Office location can significantly impact talent attraction and retention and employee happiness, engagement, and productivity. At Venaspace Offices, location is the first and biggest consideration for our business centres, and we have carefully selected three prime locations across the Southwest.

Venaspace Bournemouth

Venaspace Offices was first born in Bournemouth to create more flexible working options outside of London. The vision was to build modern serviced office centres that fostered flexibility, collaboration, and thriving business communities. Ten years later, we are still in awe with all that Bournemouth town has to offer.

Bournemouth Gardens

A short 5-minute walk from Venator House, Bournemouth gardens is perfect lunch spot to get away from the office during those beautifully sunny days. Whether to have a picnic in the park, a quick game of tennis, or a nice jog, Bournemouth Gardens helps reset the mind during busy work days.

Bournemouth Beach

You cannot visit Bournemouth without enjoying one of its many beautiful sandy beaches. Only a 15-minute walk from Wilson House, Bournemouth Beach is a beautiful place for coffee or lunch meetings in one of their many beachfront cafes or restaurants.

BH2 Leisure

BH2 Leisure is one of the highlights of Bournemouth, with countless restaurants, a cinema, crazy golf, and much more. This complex is a great place to visit after work and can be a prime location for organising team building and company outings.

Venaspace Exeter

The Mount was the first business centre that we opened outside of Bournemouth. Exeter has a fast-growing business community and ranked third in the country for economic performance this year. Amongst there 12 economic measures was work-life balance, travel-to-work times, and environment.

Exeter Cathedral

Exeter is home too many beautiful historic buildings, but one of the most well-known buildings is The Cathedral. Less than 5 minutes from The Mount, The Cathedral is not only a beautiful site but is home to many restaurants and cafe to meet with clients, a lovely green space for summer lunch picnics, and is the site of the annual Christmas Market.

Princesshay Shopping Centre

Down the road from our Exeter business centre in the heart of Exeter is its largest shopping centre, with over 70 of the best high street names. A great place to grab a bite to eat or explore after work with your colleagues. There are also endless networking opportunities across the city weekly.

The Quay

One of Exeter’s most picturesque spots, The Quay is perfect to impress clients, host team events and activities, or take a leisurely stroll. The Quay offers waterfront restaurants, team-building activities like indoor rock climbing, bowling, canoeing, biking, and more.

Venaspace Plymouth

Our newest venture in the Southwest is The Apex at one of Plymouth’s most desired locations, Derriford Business Park. Plymouth has much to offer, from Parks to the famous Seafront to everything in-between.

Derriford Community Park

Derridord Community Park is a gorgeous spot to take a walk, jog, cycle, or explore with your office dog. Only a three-minute walk from the The Apex, Derriford Community Park is a perfect spot to get outdoors and escape the daily 9 to 5.

The Plymouth Hoe

A large open public space on the Plymouth waterfront, The Hoe offers scenic coastal views, beachfront, and a wide range of recreational activities. The combination of natural beauty, historical significance, and recreational activities makes The Plymouth Hoe one of Plymouth most cherished public spaces.

The Barbican

Located on the waterfront, the Barbican is Plymouth’s historic quarter and a great spot for after-work activities, team bonding events, etcetera. Its cobbled streets, quaint buildings, and maritime heritage make it a charming place to wander. With independent shops, art galleries, cafes, and restaurants, and the Mayflower Steps, there is must to see and do at The Barbican.
