Venaspace Plymouth’s Successful Launch

Last week Venaspace Plymouth launched The Apex, our new business centre, spectacularly. A full day of networking, tours, drinks, and sushi at The Apex, along with a fantastic party!

Networking

Venaspace partnered with Your Partnerships for this networking soiree. It was great to see so many people chatting to each other, generating new business, and supporting each other to grow in the local community. We are proud to facilitate event like this at the Apex, and we look forward to doing this every month, so keep an eye on our socials where we will announce each event.

Office and conference spaces

Several big names in the local community have viewed our stunning offices, and we have had a couple of new companies sign up to use the meeting rooms.

Clair WN has booked our conference suite to host some of her workshops in the future. Devon and Plymouth Chamber of Commerce will also be hosting events in our spaces, though they said it was only because of the air con.

We can’t say who yet, but soon a large client is moving into the other half of the first floor! Along with several small offices gathering interest, if you want to get into Venaspace, now is the best time to do so before it is too late!

Drinks

With two different drink suppliers providing for the launch, Venaspace would like to take the time to thank Salcombe Gin for sponsoring the event, providing excellent drinks all night, and going for another gin masterclass. This feature may have been the downfall of our Plymouth Community Manager, Owain, as he was a little overzealous with the gin cocktails.

Bays Brewery is our on-tap beer provider, and they did not disappoint, with one and a half kegs of beer drunk throughout the day, night, and into the morning after. The beer pump has seen some great use finally, and everyone loved being able to pour their pints their way.

Food

Kuku  provided catering with excellent sushi canapes available all evening. The only thing we changed from our very successful and well-received Summer Party in Exeter last month was as we increased the amount of food available so that everyone was well fed.

Charity Partner

Our charity partner, Julia’s House, was again looked after, with over £300 raised for them through ticket sales and the raffle we ran on the night. Our sponsors helped us with the raffle, Kuku providing the first prize of a free meal for two, Salcombe gin providing two bottles of their gins, and Bay’s Brewery providing a beer selection box. Our winners were very pleased and couldn’t wait to get their prizes home and enjoy them.

More Venaspace Events

On a personal note, Venaspace and, in particular, Owain would like to thank everyone who came to The Apex last Thursday for their support, kind words, and presence.

Plymouth – We will be expanding our monthly networking events hosted in Venaspace’s Members Hub to Plymouth. This will follow in the shoes of the networking hosted in Venaspace Exeter. We are aiming to start this in the last week or October or the first week of November.
