Eastgate Market – Exeter

Eastgate Market is a contemporary, curated street market serving Exeter and the wider South West. They are proud to be providing a platform for trade to the best local produce, small businesses and independent makers in the area. Their ethos focuses on sustainable practices, inclusivity, and high-quality products, as well as promoting the ‘shop small, shop local’ approach. Expect to find vintage and pre-loved items, artisan and gourmet treats, dazzling designers and makers and unique, innovative goods from professional crafts-people and local artists.

Eastgate Market has been founded with high standards in order to raise the profile of Sidwell Street and support the existing businesses in the area. For the time being, the market will operate every Saturday 10am-4pm. However, once it has taken root and become more established, they hope to expand to other days and evenings- thereby bringing more footfall to the area and further supporting the local establishments as well as the evening economy. Part of this plan is the initiation of several indoor markets and events which will take place inside Positive Light Projects and run concurrently with the street market.

The market’s beautiful wooden stalls were a bespoke commission by the wonderful folk at CoCreate and a stall is always reserved for local community groups or charities to come and promote themselves at the market. Since the launch in November, Eastgate Market has already gained a core set of loyal stallholders who have built fantastic relationships with one another and are invested in seeing the market succeed.
